The Bible Exploration program is perfect for anyone who has a desire to gain a deeper understanding of the Bible. This program is taught by seminary-trained professionals and will guide the student through the entire Bible. The student attends class two hours each week for eight weeks. There is a two-week break between classes. There is one eight-week period each year where the student will attend an additional two hours to complete the required electives. The Bible Exploration program begins with an overview course of the entire Bible to set the stage, followed by Bible Study Methods. Both of these core courses are designed to help prepare the student for their biblical journey as they explore the Bible, book by book. The schedule below shows the development of the program and how the biblical books are divided into courses. We begin with the Old Testament studying the history and movement of the people of Israel and their relationship with God. We follow this with a journey through the New Testament discovering the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and then that of his followers and the early church. The final class of the Bible Exploration program is an Effective Bible Teaching class. Our desire at OBA is that many of our students completing this program will have confidence to go into the world and share what they have learned by teaching others either in their churches or out in the ministry field.
